iconiconSpring 2008 lip trend: full, pretty, kissable lips with just a hint of sheer color.
Say goodbye to overapplied lip pencil and lipstick. Go for a chicer look: dab a sheer gloss. Or try shades you’d normally shy away from: because the effect is lighter than lipstick, you can use bright hues.
At the same time, lip glosses can now emphasize your pout, making it plumper, smoother, sexier.

Just take a look at the newest lipglosses for spring: they are clever little inventions that do more than just add shine to those lips of yours.
Perfect your pout with our new favorite lip product:

Too Faced Mood Swingicon - a supernatural formulation that starts off crystal clear and blossoms into countless shades of pink from cotton candy to deep fucshia depending on your emotional state. Are you in love-jealous-angry-happy-or hot and bothered? Your lips will tell the tale and allow you to express yourself like never before. Mood Swing’s secret blend of essential oils and extracts improves elasticity and rejuvenates your lips while natural sunscreens insure a younger looking smile.
ps: you can get Too Faced Mood Swing at beauty.comicon, and a free mini Lash Injection mascara with $25 purchase of Too Faced!

Oxymoron by Lipstick QueenLipstick Queen is the worlwide known lipstick line by Aussie Poppy King. Her collection carries two main products: sinner and saint lipsticks, which both are made of 10 perfect shades to flatter every skin tone, respectively in matte and sheer formulas.

But if you don’t want to wear a matte lipstick, and you don’t want to go all the way to sheer lips, the new Oxymoron is the perfect combination of both worlds:
it feels as smooth and sheer to wear as a gloss but looks matte on the lips.  Available in 4 super sweet and subtle shades, it’s inspired by the colors of cheek blush so that finally a lip product can do to your lips what blush does to your cheeks: make them look glowing and so romantic you could be coming straight out of a Jane Austen novel.
This is the “your lips’ color, only better” type of shades you were looking for! The shades are: Minor Crisis (sensual pink); Deafening Silence (nude beige); Honest Politician (pink meets brown); Free Ride (peachy glow).
Oxymoron comes with a brush and a card designed by talented Aubrey Beardsley.

Légendaire Pink and Shimmering Chocolate Nuxe’s Baume Prodigieux LèvresLet’s begin the week with a precious find from Nuxe - that your lips, like mine, probably crave for:
the multi-purpose Baume Prodigieux Lèvres’ nourishing, protecting, embellishing effect now comes in color. Previously only available in Natural Crystal (colorless gloss), Nuxe has created two new unique shades.
The new glamorous shades are: Légendaire Pink, for subtle rosy glitters, and Shimmering Chocolate, for a delicate iridescent brown.

What makes the Baume Prodigieux really prodigious?
The natural combination between Mango and Shea Butters, Sweet Almond and Sunflower Oils intensely nourish your skin. SPF 15 protection filters and Vitamin E prevent climatic damage. Filling Spheres (Wheat Proteins) give your skin a replenishing effect. Iridescent particles for a glossy effect delicately colour and sublimate your lips.
These multi-purpose balms are miraculous: in a single gesture, they nourish, protect and sublimate lips.

LiptiniIn a busy time of the year, when recipe swapping and cheesy-looking cooking sites are all the rage, we’ve found the perfect type of recipes for fashionistas and makeup junkies like ourselves: lip and nail recipes, curtesy of ‘Tini Bar, that enable us to mix and match different colors of lip glosses and nail polishes to create new, amazing shades.

I am personally falling for the Currantini Lip Cocktail (1 part Cherry Cola Mixer,1 part Port Straight Up Color, 1 part Vodka Topper) which would look fantastic during chic holiday gatherings.

Nailtini For nails, we voted best of 2007 holiday season Crema di Grappa (2 parts Grappa, 1 part Irish Créme over Swizzle Stick garnish, 1 part Vodka). Festive yet unusual, just like we like it.
These are just some of the signature cocktails, but you are encouraged to create yours. Cooking up recipes has never been this glam!
