iconiconSpring 2008 lip trend: full, pretty, kissable lips with just a hint of sheer color.
Say goodbye to overapplied lip pencil and lipstick. Go for a chicer look: dab a sheer gloss. Or try shades you’d normally shy away from: because the effect is lighter than lipstick, you can use bright hues.
At the same time, lip glosses can now emphasize your pout, making it plumper, smoother, sexier.

Just take a look at the newest lipglosses for spring: they are clever little inventions that do more than just add shine to those lips of yours.
Perfect your pout with our new favorite lip product:

Too Faced Mood Swingicon - a supernatural formulation that starts off crystal clear and blossoms into countless shades of pink from cotton candy to deep fucshia depending on your emotional state. Are you in love-jealous-angry-happy-or hot and bothered? Your lips will tell the tale and allow you to express yourself like never before. Mood Swing’s secret blend of essential oils and extracts improves elasticity and rejuvenates your lips while natural sunscreens insure a younger looking smile.
ps: you can get Too Faced Mood Swing at beauty.comicon, and a free mini Lash Injection mascara with $25 purchase of Too Faced!

Dainty Doll by Nicola Roberts

Good news for red-heads, and generally fair-skinned girls around.
Nicola Roberts, from the band Girls Aloud, is about to launch a new makeup collection designed especially for pale complexions. Nicola, a beatiful red-head, finds it difficult to shop for makeup because it generally looks too yellow or too dark when applied on pale skin. So she just thought she’s create a new line of makeup to suit her needs! I personally see where this problem comes from, as I have the same difficulties in finding the right shades for my skin, too.

Dainty Doll, that’s the cute name of the line, has been developed by the cult makeup brand Jelly Pong Pong, and will be available April 18th. And just like MAC and Smashbox called upon artists to illustrate their packaging, Dainty Doll products are graced by the gorgeous artwork by Mari Kubota - a member of Osaka based art project digmeout - making this limited edition collection even more desirable.

Morning pick-me-up tips

When you wake up even more tired than when, a few hours before, you went to bed, and you only have 10 minutes to get ready, what you need is a quick morning pick-me-up. Every gal knows this feeling. Here are my tips on how to look good in 10 minutes, even when you feel like sleeping the whole day - they worked for me today.

1. Wash your face with fresh water. Before patting dry, spray some thermal water on face and neck. This will give you a lasting sensation of freshness (and you’ll immediately feel more awake).

2. If your eyes feel dry, soak 2 cotton pads in cold milk, and apply them onto eyes for a few minutes to hydrate and reduce eye puffiness.

3. After your usual skincare, apply a brightening concealer, or better yet, use Benefit Cosmetics’ Erase Paste, which serves the purpose of camouflaging all signs of tiredness from your face. Apply this smart creamy miracle-worker right where you need it (under the eyes, on the perioral area and on imperfections) and it will erase unwanted shadows from your face, while brightening your complexion, delivering the effect of a well-rested and perfected skin.
Erase Paste comes with a clever step-by-step application cheat sheet (see below) and its own little spatula to scoop out the right amount of paste.

Lash Pimpin’, the name says it all.
As we previously discussed in Lilash - Best of 2007, eyelashes are the hot stuff in beauty right now.
That’s why the French beauty pros at Make Up For Ever are launching a new campaign called Lash Pimpin’: they want you to get those luscious, sexy lashes you see on magazines.
How, you ask? The answer is, my friends, faux lashes. Whether products like Lilash and IntuitBeauty Enormous Lash work for you or not, faux lashes always work, no matter what.

As a matter of fact, the Lash Pimpin’ campaign is divided in 2 parts: Flash Color and Faux Lashes.
“Flash Color” is a thick, creamy eyeshadow previously used only by professional to create special effects like decorative designs and body painting.
“Faux Lashes” instead, is a collection of more than 50 different false eyelashes - from plain to totally crazy - to intensify and add depth to your eyes, that are reusable and come with their own special adhesive.

If you, like me, are not trained in applying false eyelashes, and think it’s an impossible undertaking - that could possibly end up with your few, sparse eyelashes glued together- gasp! - let the pros at Make Up For Ever help you with this easy, 60-second, step-by-step video:

“The experts at MAKE UP FOR EVER teach you how to apply fabulous Faux Lashes in just 60 seconds. Transform your ordinary lashes into lush natural looking fringe or go wild and create fierce flutter.”quick links:
