Being the beauty forge that it is, MAC launches today a new makeup collection called “Cool Heat”, which is your passport to summer beauty.
The shades are the perfect summer pick me up’s: coral, tourquoise, blue.
It includes 5 new lipstick shades, 7 eyeshadows and 2 fragrances.
MAC’s description is “Some looks are too hot for summer to handle but not Cool Heat. Sweltering corals, chill-out blues, complemented by Turquatic and its warm new sister shade, Turquatic Heat, create this season’s coolest - and steamiest - beauty paradox”.
Our editors’ picks are:
Swelter Slimshine Lipstick (a sheer frost red);
Gulf Stream Eye Shadow (a pearly blue green);
Turquatic Heat (a jasmine, tiare, lotus and patchouli infused fragrance).
The collection is available here.

Good news for red-heads, and generally fair-skinned girls around.
Nicola Roberts, from the band Girls Aloud, is about to launch a new makeup collection designed especially for pale complexions. Nicola, a beatiful red-head, finds it difficult to shop for makeup because it generally looks too yellow or too dark when applied on pale skin. So she just thought she’s create a new line of makeup to suit her needs! I personally see where this problem comes from, as I have the same difficulties in finding the right shades for my skin, too.
Dainty Doll, that’s the cute name of the line, has been developed by the cult makeup brand Jelly Pong Pong, and will be available April 18th. And just like MAC and Smashbox called upon artists to illustrate their packaging, Dainty Doll products are graced by the gorgeous artwork by Mari Kubota - a member of Osaka based art project digmeout - making this limited edition collection even more desirable.
