Gucci: Sloaney Bag limited edition

Gucci has just re-opened their cult store at 18 Sloane Street, London, and for the occasion Frida Giannini, Gucci’s Creative Director, has unveiled her latest creation: the exclusive limited edition Sloaney Bag.

The Sloaney comes after the “it” NY and 1950s Postcard bags, both created for the openings of 2 stores: the New York’s Fifth Avenue and the Rome’s Via Condotti one.

The Sloaney bag celebrates the city it was created for, Londond, and a certain period, the Seventies, when Sid Vicious and the Sloane Ranger came together to define a great British era. It showcases the Union Jack flag in all its glory not without a touch of irony, and it comes in 3 sizes.
This is already a cult item for fashionistas all over the world.

First opened in 1990 the new Sloane Street boutique covers 20.000 square feet on two spacious floors. Giannini’s innovative concept, which employs open space, warm luxurious materials and natural light to spectacular effect, is a departure from traditional codified fashion retail spaces symbolising Gucci’s 21st century contemporary look. An impressive 60 meter facade looking onto London’s famed Sloane Street captures attention through the use of tone-on-tone bronze metal enhanced with a special LED lighting affect.
