Triggered by the idea that any chemicals you put on your skin will be absorbed into the body, former supermodel and author Carol Alt is about to launch her “beyond natural and organic” Raw Essentials skin care line.

The line will be created from 100% raw, active ingredients derived from the earth.
Unlike many other skin care lines, Raw Essentials won’t be using any dangerous parabens, petrochemicals or preservatives.

Alt began eating raw food trying to cure chronic headaches and sinusitis, and says her life has been changed dramatically since then. She then started inventing skin care products in her own kitchen and eventually created a whole line.
Raw Essentials will launch in December on HSN, and will be available from January 2009 on a greater scale.
