Face masks are one of those little luxuries we will never give up. A moment of intimate relaxation, some good music, and hopefully a much better looking face, afterwards… ahh, count me in.
Last night we had the pleasure to try the decadent Chocolate Marshmallow Face Mask from Akamuti, a british natural & organic beauty brand.
When you open the lid, you think you’re in for a cup of warm cocoa, because the smell is so delicious you cannot believe it’s actually something that goes on your face and not in your mouth.
The list of ingredients is a work of art: Organic Fairtrade Cocoa, Rose Petal Powder, Marshmallow Powder, Organic Crushed Madagascan Bourbon Vanilla Beans, Organic Cupuacu and Pink Rose Clay. So you have the mood-lifting aroma of cocoa & vanilla (which also sedates your sweet cravings, if you suffer from those), you have the antioxidant power of Chocolate and Cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum), the benefits of clay, and I’m not sure what Marshmallow does to your face but it surely makes this mask smell nicer and feel nicer on the skin.
To use it, simply mix half a teaspoon of chocolate mask and enough water (or rose water) to make a smooth paste. It takes just a few instants, and voilà, the face mask is ready. Apply it with a gentle cosmetic brush and leave it on for about 10 minutes.
After you’ve washed your face and pat it dry, perhaps you won’t even feel the need to put a moisturizer on right away. I waited 10, 15 minutes lingering in the wonderful sensation of a perfectly clean, pampered, smooth face. Even some red areas from old spots around the chin were gone. And now, hours later I still have closed pores, cheeks like velvet, and a luminous healthy glow is still here… I’ve found my miracle worker, guys!
The Akamuti Chocolate Marshmallow Face Mask comes in a 70g recyclable, silver aluminium tin and is £7.95.
Akamuti ships to the UK & Europe.

I love, love, LOVE chocolate!
Between Anita Grant’s Chocolate & Banana Face Mask and Akamuti’s Chocolate Marshmallow Face Mask I feel ever so spoilt in decadence!
I drool as I type… off to Anita Grant and then Akamuti … need chocolate – for my face of course.
Best
