Treat O’my Goodness Pink Grapefruit Organic Body CreamOn our unstoppable quest for organic beauty products, we’ve searched for the perfect paraben-free body cream. Our staff of editors has happily spread, sniffed and tested quite a few creams and butters. The one we’ve voted as best is O’my Goodness Pink Grapefruit Organic Body Cream by Treat Beauty.

What sets this body cream apart?
The 100% organic formula of O’my Goodness is a mix of healing organic plants and flower extracts each carefully selected for its soothing powers:

  • Tamanu Oil deeply conditions the skin;
  • Lavander heals inflammed, stressed skin;
  • Rosehip, Coconut, Flax, Sunflower and Borage Oils restore suppleness to dry skin;
  • finally, the invigorating aroma of delicious pink grapefruit essential oil is refreshing to both body and mind.
  • The overall feeling is that even rough, dry skin feels noticeably softer and moisture-replenished. Its moisture-binding ingredients increase skin moisture levels and elasticity with continued use.

    Bonus points:
    - O’my Goodness lanolin, parabens and fragrance-free formula received approval from the ECOCERT Organic Certification Board - one of the leading international organic certification marks, accredited by the USDA National Organic Program.
    - Treat Beauty proudly displays PETA’s cruelty-free bunny logo because they have joined PETA’s Caring Consumer Project: they and their suppliers do not conduct or commission animal tests on ingredients, formulations, or finished products, and that they will not do so in the future.

    After careful inspection and use we can happily say: this works!

    Body Solution for Spring Break

    Spring break is around the corner, and some of us, the lucky ones, will spend a week or so on golden beaches under a warm sun. Yet, just before leaving, our bodies are still covered in big sweaters and trendy coats that hide what’s there to hide. So, are you ready for your spring break vacation?

    My solution this year is the brand new Total Body Lift Double Edition by Clarins: it’s a proven slimming product for stubborn areas that contours, firms and reshapes those legs, hips and thighs we’ve so comfortably kept hidden all winter long.
    While slimming down fatty deposits and reducing cellulite, it also improves the appearance of skin - you don’t want slimmer legs that look saggy and “emptied”. Au contraire, the skin is lifted anf visibly firmer.

    Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock

    iconiconConsumer Reports has tested the 19 best & worst sunscreens for UVA and UVB effective protection. And the results are not very good.
    Many products promise more than what they deliver, and most of the time it seems consumers do not apply enough lotion on their skin - therefore making it impossible for sunscreens to do their job.

    The product that stands out in this desolate panorama is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblockicon, which offers excellent broad-spectrum protection to help prevent sunburn, skin cancer, and wrinkles.
    Its non-comedogenic formula uses Avobenzone (look for Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane in your INCI) to provide advanced protection against damaging UVA and UVB rays, along with Dry Touch technology for a sheer light, oil-free finish. Fast-absorbing and waterproof, this formula is enriched with anti-oxidants to help fight environmental damage.
    The panelists’ final score on Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock was 86/100.

    Runners up are: Hawaiian Tropic Sunscreen Continuous Spray Ozone Sport SPF 30icon, and No-Ad Maximum SPF 45 Sunblock Lotionicon.

    …And so, among all the glossy, trendy products we showcase, we thought it’d be a good idea to select a few that stick with us, in good and bad times. And not because they are limited-editions, one shots, brand new etc. but, simply put, because they work, without all the fuss that “just in” products may bring along.

    The very first product that graces our “this works!” category is the not-so-old faithful Acne Solutions Spot Healing Gelicon from Clinique, that dramatically kills spots and blemishes. I was quite sceptic at first, having tried similar products for the past 10 years or more on those periodic sports, without falling in love for a particular one, and always going for a new one when the need came.
    But this one does its job, and does it fast. If you put it on before going to bed, chances are you’ll wake up without the hated spot.
    Or it might take a bit longer, depending on the entity of the problem.

    This works better than tea tree oil, which I always encourged people to try.
    Ok, it’s not as natural, but sometimes one needs extreme measures.
    All in all, this works!
