Concealers – Tips to Apply Concealer
The undereye area is so tender; placing concealer on it has to be done ever so delicately.
Concealer is one of the most important products in any woman’s beauty arsenal. In fact, many beauty editors use concealer primarily and skip the foundation completely. Yet many women are afraid of concealers because they don’t know how to find the right shade or apply it properly.
First, chose the shade of your concealer carefully:
Then, choose the right type of concealer for your special needs:
Liquid
Liquid concealers are used mostly for covering undereye circles. Simply put three tiny dots of the product on your undereye area, pat with your index finger until the concealer is well blended. Apply a light layer of powder to set the concealer or skip this step entirely if you have extremely dry skin.
Our favorite liquid concealers:
Smashbox Under Eye Brightener, Photo Op, $18.00
Amazing Cosmetics Concentrated Concealer, $42.00
Alison Raffaele True Concealer, $23.00
Cream/Stick
Cream and stick concealers are best for covering undereye circles, undereye bags, zits, freckles and moles.
Our favorite Cream/Stick concealers:
Sue Devitt Automatic Camouflage Concealer, Bermuda Triangle, $23.00

You should apply the concealer in the inner corners of the nose by the eyes and the dark areas under the eyes. To give a perfect look to your skin gently pat the concealer on with your fingertips and then cover the entire under-eye area and outside area of the eyes.
A concealer with a high pigment level and having mineral oil as its contents is best for masquerading purposes as it covers the spot better and stays on the top of the face for more time. It is best to monitor whether a concealer matches your skin or not in sunlight for correct estimations.
