Stila Makeup Artist, Sarah Lucero, shares her view on some of Spring 2009’s top beauty trends:
The spring 2009 runways were awash in fresh, glowing skin. Makeup artists used illuminating foundations to get that extra glow.
Gone was the wintry look of matte powders and foundations.
Along with glowing skin, shimmery and pearlescent looks were also popular on spring runways.
Try a pearlescent base, lip gloss or shimmery eye shadow to get this look right.
Navy is the perfect chromatic spring translation of winter’s smokey eye (done in either jet black or grey). Navy eyes were also all the rage at fashion week.
If you don’t want to go for an all-over smudged look, simply wet your eyeliner brush and use a navy shadow as liner instead.
