5. Now line the eye along the eyelash with your pencil. Elizabeth Arden Smoky Eyes Powder Pencil in Smokey Blackicon ($16.00) is perfect for the job as it has the staying power of a cream pencil and the soft look and finish of a powder pencil.

6. For added drama, line the inside rim of your eyelashes with a Kajal like Stila Onyx Kajal Eye Linericon ($18.00). This particular eyepencil can be smudged to create a smoky “dreamlike” appearance.

7. Finish off with mascara, lots of it. We swear by blinc Mascara in Blackicon ($24.00) for long, voluminous lashes that resemble fake ones. Furthermore, this incredible “tube” mascara won’t run, smudge, clump or flake – even if you cry or rub your eyes.

Finally, if you think this is too much to go through, or you just can’t make it right, don’t despair! You can always rely on ColorON Professional Smokey Classics Kiticon (now on sale for only $12.50 instead of $25.00): by far the quickest and easiest way to a smokey eye!
