This is not the easiest look to create, so it might take a while to master it.
Then, continue reading with our Smokey Eye Tutorial, part 2.
3. Now, always stading in front of a mirror, tilt your head back a little, in order to see exactly where your natural crease is. Using your second brush, apply the darkest eyeshadow – try: LORAC Black Eye Shadow ($18.00) – from the center of the eyelid to the outer corner, along the lash line and in the crease; thus creating the famous V effect, as taught in the famous bareMinerals Smoky V Eye Collection
.
Stop 1/4 inch past the outside edge to create a kitten eye look.
4. The nest step is to blend the 2 shades, light and dark, with a third color. This middle color is originally – you guessed it – grey, but you can change this shade accoring to your mood, eye color and season. For example, now that it’s summer, a golden brown might fo the trick. Or if you have blonde hair, experiment with a dark green, like in the Stila Smoky Eye Green Palette ($40.00).
Finally, you can use a deep violet, the hot color of the season, as seen in the Mally Beauty Citychick Smokey Eye Midtown Merlot Kit ($40.00).
To blend your eyeshadows, apply your middle shade along the crease and from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. Spend a little more time here, as this step is critic to a perfect final result.
