Prom Makeup Tip: focus on either your eyes OR your lips
Have you planned your prom hair, yet? If so, now it’s time to think about the makeup.
We’ll show you a few of our favorite prom looks for you to try out, in order to decide what looks better with your dress and overall style.
Today, we start with a look by Too Faced, a cat’s eye delight.
To achieve this retro-inspired look (think Bond babes of the seventies) follow these easy steps:
Step 1
Smooth away skin imperfections with a few swipes of the Magic Wand Illuminating Foundation, $32.50. Use the professional built-in brush to get an even application. Keep coverage consistent by blending through the center of the face and to the outside edges.
Step 2
Swipe Mineral Water Eye Brightening Pencil, $18 in the inside corner of the eye following the natural crease. Next, apply it on the outer corner of the eye and blend with your fingertip. Use it to conceal where needed: under the brow bone for a lifting effect, in the smile lines to erase deep grooves, or apply in a “kitty whiskers” pattern to the corners of the mouth to hide lines.

You can try an ‘empire waist’ dress, as they have a waistline just below your chest, which then makes your legs look longer. If you are very small around the waist, you may prefer an A-Line style to give your body a bit more fullness. Otherwise, slim-fitting dresses are usually a good idea. Again, avoid belted waist styles when possible!
