Once in a while a really striking makeup collection comes out. Right now, we’re all in awe at the beautifully executed Paradis Exotique, the latest tempation by Guerlain.

In this kaleidoscopic collection, everyone can find her favorite item. Imagine an exotic garden filled with flowers, green leaves, fascinating scents. This whole collection is an ode to spring and its breath-taking colors.

The piece we love the most is the new Limited Edition Exotic Paradise Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow Palette: Guerlain once again seeked the collaboration of French jewelry and funriture designer Hervé Van der Straeten to design the palette compact, subtly etched with a bird of paradise and ecotic leaves. Hervé is also the man behind the sculpted gold case for Guerlain’s Kiss Kiss line of lipsticks, as well as the jewel-like compact for foundation.

Olivier Echaudemaison, the artistic director of the company’s cosmetics division, said he wanted “Hervé to make a (makeup) case that is so beautiful that when a woman pulls it out of her bag, her friends will become jealous. You can’t ask the average product designer to do that.”

But the beauty doesn’t stop here: open the compact and it will reveal a bucolic palette with pink, green, orange, and brown shades, each with an exotic leaf motif in pearly green.
