As previously said in our “Tips on how to look fabulous for less, part 1“, being beautiful doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
Luckily there are way for us to save money while staying beautiful.

For example, a tip that saves you money during this economic moment is to skip the nail lady and give yourself a mani/pedicure.
In fact, with all the incredible products available on the market today, you don’t have to spend salon prices for a good manicure and pedicure. For example, you can pamper yourself at home by buying a home-spa kit. Just call up 5 of your closest friends and make it a girl’s night! See Barielle’s pro tips for at-home mani/pedicures.

Another option that allows yout to mimic salon-quality nails at a fraction of the price, is to go for artificial nails. And if you’re thinking “fake nails are not for me”, think again. We’ve tried and loved the excellent Revlon’s ranges.
There are 3 types of nails: Color Allure™ (in trendy colors), Daily Wear™ (that look like perfect, natural nails) and Naturally Chic™ (french manicure at its best)

These nails come in sets of 24, and include a nail buffer, a glue, and a useful orange stick. The nails come in 2 lengths, medium and long, and 2 sizes in order for you to find the ones that perfectly fit your natural nail beds.

Color Allure™ nails offer a splash of color with intense shine.

The application is extremely quick and simple: first clean your nails, gently buff them for better adhesion, apply the glue to the entire surface of the natural nail, and press the artificial nail onto the glue for 5 seconds. Repeat for all your fingers, and you’re done!

Now that I have these super-beautiful nails on, it really feels good to have salon-like nails. I would suggest you use them even when leaving for a week/weekend, when you want your nails to look impeccable all the time.

A few tips: choose all the nails for all the fingers, before putting 1 on. In that way handling of both nails and glue will be careless.
Moreover, these nails stay on for a week or longer. When it’s time to take them away do not pull them, simply soak the artificial nail in acetone and it will dissolve.
After a week of wearing these, we suggest you let your natural nails take a 1 or 2 week period of break to let them breathe and grow naturally.

All in all, these look amazing, like you just came out of the salon. I had 5 people this morning only asking me where did I get my nails done. They couldn’t believe a set of these only cost $7.00! Perfect for times like these… don’t you think?

Thank you Revlon ;)
